Ground Level

Take some time out with art! Ways of Looking teacher professional learning programs are offered each term. Engage in rich conversations about art with colleagues and discuss different strategies and approaches to use in the classroom to foster students’ observation, interpretation and responding skills.

In October we are going back to basics. How does an understanding of the art and design elements and principles contribute to students’ visual literacy and analysis skills, and how do we engage students in learning about these?

Join NGV Educators as we investigate practical strategies for enhancing students’ ability to identify and describe how the art elements and principles contribute to the visual qualities and ideas expressed in a diverse range of artworks.

This professional learning program is designed for new and returning art teachers, and those interested in exploring new approaches to teaching visual analysis.

All materials are supplied. This event includes light refreshments, please include any dietary requirements when booking.
