The National Gallery of Victoria offers endless possibilities for teaching and learning not for only Visual Arts and Design, but for all areas of the Curriculum. Discover the learning programs and resources on offer, develop strategies for engaging with works of art and design and get tips for planning a successful visit to the Gallery. This program is ideal for pre-service teachers or any teachers keen to find out more about Gallery learning.

Cost: $15 per person, minimum 10 people per group
Duration: 60 minutes

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the scope of the NGV Collection and programs
  • Plan a successful visit to the Gallery with students
  • Develop practical strategies for engaging with art and design in both the classroom and Gallery
  • Connect themes and ideas in art and design to the Victorian Curriculum
